The female body is a remarkable wonder capable of incredible things. Equally remarkable is the series of changes the female body undergoes during puberty, childbearing years, and menopause. Yet, the physical and hormonal changes women encounter during their life can also bring about some side effects, including sexual dysfunction.
Sexual dysfunction in women is widespread and can impact women even before they reach menopause and most commonly affects women over age 40. Vaginal dryness, low libido, pain during intercourse, and difficulty achieving an orgasm are all symptoms. There are also many underlying causes of sexual dysfunction, such as physical health issues, certain medications, and even stress or emotional distress.
Many women choose to stay silent about their condition because they believe it is a natural part of aging. However, there are many treatments available to enhance your sexual wellness at any age. Every woman deserves a healthy and happy sex life. So, before you start researching pharmaceutical remedies to improve your sexual health, you may want to consider a more natural solution, like the Orgasm Shot®.
What is the O-Shot®?
The O-Shot® or Orgasm Shot® is a non-surgical treatment designed by Dr. Charles Runels, MD. Dr. Runels is the first person to use growth factors from the blood to rejuvenate the vagina. The O-Shot® is performed to increase sexual arousal, resulting in more robust and frequent orgasms, increased natural lubrication, and a more significant response to clitoral stimulation.
Considered a platelet-rich-plasma treatment, The O-Shot® is made up of your very own growth factors that are sourced from your blood. The procedure is non-evasive and a completely natural solution for sexual enhancement. It has been clinically proven for nearly a decade, with thousands of patients worldwide achieving enhanced sexual benefits and elevating their sexual health to new heights.
How Does It Work?
After a consultation with a provider, like one of our compassionate providers, a First Impressions, you will provide a blood sample that will be used for your O-Shot®. Your practitioner will take your blood sample and place it in a specialized centrifuge that isolates the platelets from the blood. Once isolated, the platelets are collected for your vaginal injection.
Now, the thought of having an injection near your clitoris, labia, or G-spot may sound painful, but thanks to a topical numbing cream, most patients feel no discomfort during the injection process. Patients report feeling a gentle pinch or warming sensation. Typically, you will receive an injection underneath the hood of your clitoris and an injection near the upper vaginal area.
Once injected into the tissues, the growth factors from the platelets will start to work right away—the platelets active stem cell growth, causing the treatment area to regrow and rejuvenate tissue. There is also an increase in blood flow to the area, causing some plumping and firming. You can expect your procedure to last about 30 to 40 minutes, and you can resume regular activity after your appointment. Some patients experience minor spotting, which should only last a few hours or less after the procedure.
Results can be noticeable immediately after treatment. However, most patients experience improvement within the first three weeks after treatment. Tissue regrowth can take some time. You can expect the tissue to regrow fully after about three- or four months post-treatment. Results can last anywhere from 12 to 18 months. After this time, if you are pleased with your results, you are more than welcome to return for maintenance treatment. Most patients are encouraged to wait at least eight weeks between treatments to allow the treatment to reach its full effect.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Orgasm Shot® Safe?
Yes. The treatment is made of your own blood platelets; therefore, there is minimal risk for side effects or an adverse reaction.
What are the possible side effects?
Side-effects are minimal and very rare. However, some patients have reported light spotting lasting several hours after treatment, an awareness of the injection sites, consistent sexual arousal, persistent vaginal wetness, bruising at the injection site, or an overactive sex drive.
How long do I have to wait before I can resume sexual activity after treatment?
There is no recovery period after receiving the O-Shot®. You can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment and resume sexual activity the same day.
Will I feel the results right away?
It depends. Some women have reported “wow” results immediately after treatment. Others have reported a more variable response with peak “wow-ness” around the three-month mark once tissues have fully regenerated. Every women’s body is different, so results may vary.
Can I get the O-Shot® often for better results?
Yes. Typically, patients are asked to wait at least eight weeks between treatment to give ample time for the treatment to be effective. At the end of the eight weeks, patients are welcome to return for a follow-up treatment. Most patients usually complete a follow-up treatment around 6-12 months from the first session. You can receive an annual treatment to maintain benefits.
