BOTOX COSMETIC® – Part 1
BOTOX® is something that we hear a lot about these days, but what is it really?
BOTOX® is a protein which is created from a bacteria – much like penicillin is made. The protein is injected into different areas of the body to produce localized muscle relaxation. For 20 years, the protein was used for problems like cerebral palsy, chronic muscular pain, vocal cord dysfunction and visual disturbances.
DERMA FILLERS – Juvederm®
Young skin is smooth and elastic because it contains a lot of “Hyaluronic Acid”. As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin gradually diminishes. As a result, the skin becomes dryer, thinner and more wrinkled.
Fillers used by First Impressions Medical Aesthetics & Rejuvenation Clinic are a long-lasting but not permanent synthetic form of hyaluronic acid. The gel mimics the naturally occurring substance by adding volume to the skin. When fillers are injected under the surface of the skin, the gel adds volume, and smooths out lines on the face.

Cryotherapy refers to a treatment in which surface skin lesions are frozen using medical cold therapy application. Lesions that may be treated in this way include:
some benign lesions such as solar and seborrheic keratoses.

Sclerotherapy: Vein Treatments
Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical procedure that can treat most diseased surface veins. Medication is injected into a vein using a small needle. The medication irritates the vein walls so that they stick together and are gradually reabsorbed by the body. Eliminating these diseased veins actually improves the circulation and makes the legs healthier.
